Wow, what a day at DesignThinkers Toronto! Meridian Hall was buzzing with excitement and ideas starting right from the 8:15 am morning roundtables. 💡✨

To soak up as many of the experiences and design insights and best practices as we could, the Razor Creative team split up and then reconvened between sessions, at lunch and at the end of the day to compare notes and bask in the energy of it all. Here’s a snapshot of our day. 📸

Just two more sleeps until DesignThinkers 2024 opens in Toronto on November 7!

The Razor Creative team is busy scanning the program, coordinating schedules and sharpening our digital pencils so we’re ready for a full-on, deep dive into as many sessions as we can possibly cover – minus lunches and bio-breaks, of course. 🗓️

We’re also looking forward to meeting up with Bríet Savard Guðjónsdóttir, who’s joining us from Algonquin College in Ottawa as Razor’s DesignThinkers student scholarship winner. 🏆

When Claire Joseph @clai.rejoseph picks up her ske

When Claire Joseph @clai.rejoseph picks up her sketchbook, she likes to think big. Like houses and industrial buildings big. 💡

Claire, a student at Brampton’s Cardinal Leger Catholic Secondary School @legerarts, is joining Razor Creative on a co-op placement. That might seem unusual for someone who’s focused on a career in architecture, but she sees art and design as part of her career pathway and hopes to learn how creativity flows in a work environment like Razor’s.

Claire’s creative interests also extend to the kitchen; she’s an avid baker, immersed in the art and science of cakes, cookies, and pies 🍰🍪 – often with the sounds of #CharliXCX or #TaylorSwift filling the air. 🎶

Razor Creative founder, Roberto Carreiro, was honoured to take part in a recent business and cultural exchange between members of Brampton’s Portuguese community and visiting officials from the Government of Portugal. 🇵🇹🤝🇨🇦

In attendance were the Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities, Dr. José Cesario; Portugal’s Ambassador to Canada, Dr. Antonio Leão Rocha; and Dr. Ana Luísa Riquito, Consul General for Portugal in Toronto.

The Brampton representatives proudly showcased the Portuguese community’s contribution to the city’s cultural mosaic and business sector, with a view to growing business and cultural ties between our two countries.

Fall just wouldn’t be fall without the annual Ra

Fall just wouldn’t be fall without the annual Rally for DHK @rally4dhk, Presented by Arctiq – a scenic, fundraising car rally for Halton’s Darling Home for Kids (DHK) @thedarlinghome4kids. 🚗🍂

Razor Creative’s Roberto Carreiro and Iori Matsushima lent a hand by capturing the event in photos and video as over 30 driving teams and 10 sponsors raised more than $46,000 to support DHK’s commitment to high-quality respite, residential, and hospice care for children with medical complexities.

It was a great time for all! And Razor was pleased to be a part of it! 🙌

“I was designing before I knew what design was,” says Megan Viveiros (@dgtlmeg), Razor Creative’s newest intern. 🚀✨

As a third-year Graphic Design student at Humber College, Megan impressed us with her flair for editorial design – a passion she discovered in her childhood, cutting and pasting elements from newsstand publications to create her own magazine.
